Another commission for the excellent motorcycle artist @vector_garage.
Uh Muh Guhd. As a kid I eschewed the typical Countach and Testarossa fantasies and instead had posters of the 427 Shelby Cobra wallpapering my bedroom walls. As an adult I acknowledge the awesomeness of the newest tech wonders: Maclarens, Paganis, Bugattis... but the classic proprtions and pure sexual attraction of a classically-designed exotic will always capture my heart. I saw this newest iteration of the Vanquish just the other day and I couldn't NOT include it in my project. Someone get me the box of tissues.
Posh. I've never used that word before in my life, but it sums up this Bentley in four letters. A friend of mine loaned me his Continental W12 last year and it was very pleasurable to drive. The torque is satisfying as fuck. So when my neighbor parked this GTC in front of her shop I had to take a moment to appreciate it.
I'm having a little fun today. Last week this concept by Zagato was unveiled and I want one. Now. I threw some Forgeline Split Fives on it because the concept wheels were not great, and adjusted the altitude slightly. Perfect.
Gotta stretch my legs, errr, fingers once in a while and have a little fun. I concentrate on cars that are within reach of the average Joe, but today I've hand-picked a Novitec-massaged Ghost just cause. I'm not a huge Rolls fan, but this one would look nice in my own garage.
I was VERY close to buying one of these when I finally settled on a new FR-S instead. Part of me regrets the decision as I lusted for a little go kart, but the allure of storage and the ability to transport non-contortionists won out. It remains on my bucket list, though, and when I saw this one parked near my home I couldn't help but dream a little dream.
Commission 21/26 (car #3/26) for Doug S in Portland OR. "Knuckle scraper when you hang the arm out the window. Cool city car but very rough on the highway."
Commission 11/26 (car #8/26) for Doug S in Portland OR. A fun little convertible was a nice contrast from the diesel Mercedes sedan that he'd been driving.
