Toyota number 256 in my seemingly-never-ending quest to illustrate every Toyota vehicle ever sold in the US. The wayback machine brings us the first-generation Corolla wagon today. This example is a glimpse into the future when @vintagegaragekk gets his newly-epoxied KE16 coated in Fire Engine Red. Let's throw some gold Equip 03s on there, too. Not too shabby!
This badass little Sprinter Coupe owned by @chamo88 marks the first Toyota in the final ten illustrations to complete every single body Variant of every single Toyota sold in the US. Cue the music! Europe? The Final Countdown... dunna na nah... danna na na nah...
Number 251 out of 263 (I recounted more accurately if you've been following along) in my quest to illustrate every Toyota variant sold in the states. Only twelve left! Today we visit Indonesia where @ntunk_retrosyndicate rips around in this little shark-mouthed, Hayashi-Streeted Corolla sedan.
Number 242 in my quest to illustrate every Toyota variant sold in the US is @el_tipico's rad and ratted out little Corolla wagon.
I chose a special car to commemorate today's 400th continuous daily illustration since I launched this project on January 1st 2016. My close friend, @kyle_pollard, had a fomer love named Hachi. She had a mocha complection, smooth like glass. Athletic, graceful and she had the good habit of sidestepping obstacles when pushed hard. You will be missed.
In late 2015, after decades of neglecting my childhood passion, I decided to start drawing again. My New Year's Resolution was to draw a car every day, and with @philippesceaux's Corolla Liftback I have accomplished my goal. Three-hundred-sixty-six illustrations, including one-hundred-eighty-four different Toyotas, with a total of nearly 1000 hours invested. Now that the year is over, I have no plans to stop. Let's do it again!
Number 203 in my quest to illustrate every Toyota sold in the US. Let's say hi to @nfelge in sunny Phoenix and take a moment to celebrate his third-generation Corolla Sport Coupe, one of four different two-door styles sold from 1975-1979.
Let's slide sideways with @todd_fink in his mustardy little KE20 Corolla sedan today. His daily driver is named Homer and runs a tickled 4K with a 3K-B head and a 5-speed K50. LOUD! Lumpy cams and four-into-one collectors. Everyone thinks it's a rotary until he pops the hood. Woot woot! I'm jealous.
