Are there FJ40s everywhere? Here in Portland they are a common sight, scattered throughout the city like pepperoni on a pizza. Some are crusty, sure, but this original specimen looked nearly perfect. It checks all the right boxes.
Got antsy over the new big body Lexus and since recently illustrating the sweet VIP rides of @mfxn0tserp and @nat7272 I wanted to get the jump on the LS500. I must admit, when I first saw the official release photos I was a little disappointed, I mean it looks a lot like I would have predicted. I wanted something that surprised me... and now that I see this lowered with some appropriate footwear and a shocking color, I love it.
Yet another fruitless search of Instagram for an LFA owner. It's easy to find photos of LFAs posted, but nobody ever tags the owner. So I settled for a Sunset Orange example that I found on Sabini Wheel's website. It's got to be owned by somebody, right? Looking sharp on a set of Sabini SV44s!
Check the RAV4 from the list. Four generations, six variants, all done. The soft top was only offered at the tail end of 1998 and through 1999, and being so rare I simply couldn't find ANYONE that actually owned one and posted photos of it. I spent longer searching than I did drawing!
Number 203 in my quest to illustrate every Toyota sold in the US. Let's say hi to @nfelge in sunny Phoenix and take a moment to celebrate his third-generation Corolla Sport Coupe, one of four different two-door styles sold from 1975-1979.
1977 Toyota Hilux commission for @81kp61. I LOVE LOVE LOVE that when you pop the hood on this period-correct-patina pickup you are greeted by perfect paint and a spotless 22RE. It's how I would have done it!
This final-year Squareback is in damn good shape for a daily driver. Unmodified, unmolested and nearly unblemished! I wish I had the self control to own a car and somehow resist the urge to start swapping parts. Props to my Portland neighbor who obviously has much more willpower than I do.
Richard made this one easy for me! Knowing I am looking for every Toyota model to illustrate, he DMed me a link straight to his Tercel hatchback and it is definitely worthy. Clean as fuck, wearing period-correct Riken Turbo wheels and some sweeeet louvers, I had fun drawing this little econobox. Now @yachtmaster_ii, you should get together with @ferisewheel and @kaochang2 and get a photo shoot of your cars together.
