It took me a while to track down someone who owned a Crown two-door wagon, and it ended up being none other than Mooneyes USA's savior, @rs31sugi. Want a serious dose of JDM perfection? Go cruise through his IG!
The senior editor over at @4wdtoyotaownermagazine is building a Trekker, predecessor of the 4Runner, and wanted to visualize the finished project. Here ya go, Joel. Repainted black with blue striping, SCS F5 wheels in black and all of your custom tube work.
Number 174 in my quest to illustrate every Toyota to hit our American shores, and this one is another rarity. There are a TON of Land Cruisers still on the road, I see one almost every day, but I don't think that I've ever seen a four-door wagon. Plenty of photos of this rig and its adventures on @rangerrex55's IG page.
Another rare Toyota today, but from the current millenium. Had to virtually travel to Dubai in order to find a step-side Tundra to add to my Toyota illustration collection. @ikramdurrani sure looks like he's having a good time over there riding dirtbikes and racing cars around. Thanks for going out of your way to get me access to your truck for this project!
Number 157 in my quest to draw every Toyota, I made a huge error in judgement. This RAV4 is covered in beautiful artwork that I just had a rough time trying to properly recreate. I imagine that the owner, @isia_popoia, is the artist, and I must apologize for the massacre of crazy lines that ended up here. It's neat, but hers is WAY better!
Now we're talking! Loyal follower @hooptywagon kept chipping away at the daily hint and finally nailed his fifth, which means I got to illustrate his clean-as-fawk slammed Outback wagon. Advan RCII's in gold, even! I've been wanting a good reason to draw a cool Suby and it was finally forced on me. I found the RIP photo in your IG account, that sucks... but it seems like you've gotten over the mourning period.
Brian shows off the favorite cars that he has owned at @briansautogarage and it's one of the more enjoyable explorations I've made lately. Every picture features a well-written caption and it was fun to compare thoughts as I bounced from photo to photo. This 81 pickup is his parts runner and has some cool stripes, so Ihad to choose it for today's 150th entry in my quest to illustrate every Toyota.
Keep your eyes peeled and you'll still see the occasional AE82 Corolla hatchback, or her sister, the Chevy Nova. Nik appreciates mostly Land Cruisers, but recently he's been celebrating his little two-toned Rolla Hatch. We get it, @cruiserfever, you love your car... now show us some more Cruiser photos!
