I almost forgot that Lexus snuck in the lengthened RX for 2018. An extra four inches means it's a variant and I guess I gotta draw it. I was feeling blingy today so here it is slathered in Autumn Shimmer and dipped in gold.
Number 251 out of 263 (I recounted more accurately if you've been following along) in my quest to illustrate every Toyota variant sold in the states. Only twelve left! Today we visit Indonesia where @ntunk_retrosyndicate rips around in this little shark-mouthed, Hayashi-Streeted Corolla sedan.
Scratch the Cressida off my list of Toyotas because @be4ver's wagon is the last one. This marks 244 variants out of 260. The light at the end of the tunnel is getting brighter! Adam, I hope you don't mind that I installed matching wheels and buffed out the paint a little.
I'm so close to the end of my Toyota illustration project that it's all I want to draw, but when a friend needed some ideas for his BWM 2002 I was forced to go online for fresh examples. I stumbled across @oszkarbacsi and some photos of a sweet little 2002 that he worked on.
I chose a special car to commemorate today's 400th continuous daily illustration since I launched this project on January 1st 2016. My close friend, @kyle_pollard, had a fomer love named Hachi. She had a mocha complection, smooth like glass. Athletic, graceful and she had the good habit of sidestepping obstacles when pushed hard. You will be missed.
After finishing @blakenator_54's sweet Celica coupe, I have just twenty-eight illustrations left to complete every single Toyota model variant ever sold in the US. Every. Single. Last. One. Wow.
Got antsy over the new big body Lexus and since recently illustrating the sweet VIP rides of @mfxn0tserp and @nat7272 I wanted to get the jump on the LS500. I must admit, when I first saw the official release photos I was a little disappointed, I mean it looks a lot like I would have predicted. I wanted something that surprised me... and now that I see this lowered with some appropriate footwear and a shocking color, I love it.
Again I scoured the Instagrams for an owner of a particular rare Toyota and came up empty-handed. Good for you, though, because this Celica Sunchaser, a truly rare car, is for sale at East Coast Toyota in New Jersey. Under 28,000 miles on this beauty and it's priced at $13,500.
