Knocking out the final few illustrations for my Toyota poster!
Number 242 in my quest to illustrate every Toyota variant sold in the US is @el_tipico's rad and ratted out little Corolla wagon.
Before starting this project I gad never heard of overlanding was, but now that I've illustrated several overland rigs I'm officially intrigued. It looks like @overlandbound has really nailed the concept on its head. Today's drawing marks the 240th Toyota variant in my quest to illustrate all 260 sold in the US since 1958. Only twenty left, then I might take a small break since I've been pumping these profiles out daily for the past 410 days. Or, I might not. Thanks to @trailborn_yota for throwing me the line on this one.
My buddy @vector_garage asked for a piece from one of his favorite movies in exchange for some beautiful motorcycle art. (Check out his IG for plenty of that!) Here's Marty McFly's silky black Toyota SR5 pickup from Back to the Future. I remember the nine-year-old me watching this movie for the first time in 1985 and falling in love with every car in the movie.
VW T1 Utility Truck commission for Phillip Ponce.
Number 213 in my quest to illustrate every Toyota, Lexus and Scion ever sold in the US. Just seven Lexii left on my list after completing @mattmatuszak_sucks's second-gen ES. I've always thought that this was by far the most handsome early Lexus design and Matt isn't standing still... I like his third-gen front bumper conversion, football-lace-style!
The senior editor over at @4wdtoyotaownermagazine is building a Trekker, predecessor of the 4Runner, and wanted to visualize the finished project. Here ya go, Joel. Repainted black with blue striping, SCS F5 wheels in black and all of your custom tube work.
Why settle for the cake when you can have the frosting, too? Layers of it! Baby Bear Gangster B-Vision widebody, Futura big brake kit, Avant Garde F244s, a sparkly, color-shifting wrap... too much to list. @dubstepslap415 isn't fucking around.
